General purpose mesh

Welded Wire Mesh & Fabricated Panels

Welded wire mesh starts as plain square mesh in rolls or sheets, from light gauge for plaster and gardening to heavy gauge for security and containment. From the same mesh, our fabrication line cuts, bends, welds and frames finished components to customer drawings, from simple mesh trays and shelves to framed machine guards and concrete spacers.

›Wire gauge: 12–22 gauge (0.7–2.0 mm)
›Opening: 6.4–100 mm
›Roll width: 0.9–2.0 m (3 ft to 6 ft)
›Galvanizing: GBW standard / GAW for higher corrosion resistance
›Supply: rolls or cut panels
›Finish: electro galvanized, hot-dip galvanized or PVC coated

Also known as: Welded mesh roll · Galvanized welded mesh · Square mesh roll · Hardware mesh

Rolls, Sheets & Fabricated Forms

Standard mesh is stocked as rolls and sheets; fabricated forms are produced to drawing. Both come from the same wire and welding line, so coating and colour match across the order.

Welded Wire Mesh Rolls & Sheets

Standard welded mesh in rolls and sheets, 12–22 gauge.

Also known as: Welded mesh roll · Galvanized welded mesh · Square mesh roll · Hardware mesh

Square or rectangular mesh welded at every crossing and supplied in rolls or flat sheets. It is the standard general-purpose mesh: straightforward to cut, easy to fix, and available in a wide range of aperture and wire combinations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between GBW and GAW?

GBW mesh is made from wire that was galvanized before welding, so the welded crossings expose bare steel. GAW mesh is galvanized after welding, so the zinc covers the joints as well, giving noticeably better corrosion resistance at a higher cost.

What information do you need to make a part?

A drawing in DWG, DXF, STEP or PDF format, or a physical sample part. The material, mesh type, surface finish, quantity and any tolerance or inspection requirement should also be stated.

Can I order standard mesh and fabricated parts together?

Yes. Fabricated parts are made from the same mesh as the rolls and sheets, so wire grade, aperture and coating stay consistent across the order. Send the mesh specification and the fabrication drawings together.
